Many of you will be familiar with the The Fat Hen Farm label was which we launched in 2004 when our family purchased an olive farm in Kilkivan in SE Queensland. For twelve years we ran a mixed farming business fattening droughtmaster steers, breeding Wiltshire Horn Sheep and freshwater crayfish (until the drought put an end to it!) and growing olives. We have sold our olive produce – both Fat Hen Farm and Olive Skin Food products – throughout delis, direct via our website and farmer’s markets during that time.
We enjoyed a wonderful lifestyle on the property and brought our kids up to understand life on the land and the wonders – and ravages – that nature can bring. Great beauty and great devastation are part and parcel of rural life. But the lure of the coast called and we decided to relocate within closer proximity to the beautiful SE Qld beaches.
So what’s happening now?
And yes, many have asked..Fat Hen Farm and the Olive Skin Food businesses are still operating at our new, smaller property in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Here we still produce all the same well-loved gourmet food and skin care products we always have. We source our olive oil from the South Burnett Region and the best local Australian olives.
Products have not changed
We know that our Fat Hen Farm produce and Olive Skin Food skin care products are extremely popular with locals and tourists alike – so we have not changed a thing. All our recipes remain the same as they always have. However, thanks to Brand House Communications, we now have a stunning new logo and website and are rolling out new packaging over the newxt few months.
All products are still available to purchase from our shopping pages and our stockists.
We hope you enjoy the fresh new Fat Hen Farm.
I have posted elsewhere that I have been unable to purchase your product from IGA Maleny and Peregian. Would like to know where, near Buderim, I can purchase your product.
Hi John Thomson here in Hervey bay could you please send a price list thru as I am thinking of selling your products again. Cheers John.
Hey John,
I hope you’re having a great week 🙂
Dex here, following up on the request for the wholesale pricelist? Is there anything I can clarify or help you with?
Also John, what it the name of your store/cafe?
Looking forward to hearing back from you.
kindest regards,
Dex Humphreys
